*wesurvived's "Customize Us Contest"

We Survived, a support group at DA for survivors of physical and sexual violence, recently finished the contest they had been having for a new look for the group. There where some really generous prizes given out in a three categories, and the lest Resurgere could do was give a journal feature to the winners:

ID/FEATURED DEVIATION WINNER
by :iconlagattapiccola:

"We loved the gentle feel to this, the element of nurturing something fragile and precious, and the element of protection. We hope WeSurvived offers all of these things to our members and that is why this has been chosen as the winner." - *wesurvived

STAMP WINNER
by :iconshanokee:

"At first I was really put off by the red - it seemed a little harsh for a group for support. BUT the smooth animation won me over and now I love the red - I hope everyone else does too!" - *wesurvived

CSS ENTRIES
& & &

Resurgere entered a design to raise awareness which won the contest, so we will be working with the group to turn that into a working layout for them to use from now.

Congratulations to everyone who entered the contest, no matter if they won or not it was good they got involved. :clap:

Now that they are on track with new identity graphics we hope *wesurvived can raise awareness of itself better and gain more support. At Resurgere we are lucky enough to have well over sixteen thousand watchers at this time, and we ask that they pay *wesurvived a visit and consider how they can support this project.

Community Choice, New Article;

Journal Entry: Mon Jul 14, 2008, 2:04 PM

Introduction;

Community Choice started out as a simple series of articles by ^misskittyoooo where deviants could choose one deviant’s gallery and pick three deviations from it to feature. In February ^Helewidis gave a twist to that idea and asked the Senior community to choose one deviation from a gallery (in this case Artistic Nudes) and add a write-up explaining why they loved the piece so much and why we should see the it.

The project soon extend to non-seniors and took the form of Community Choice’s News Articles, embraced by several Gallery Directors and by everyone in deviantART. Alternating biweekly articles divided into Senior’s community choice and non-Senior’s community choice because everyone has got a thing to say when it comes to ART and EXPOSURE!

The goal of this project is simple: To provide a fun and simple way of featuring good work from deviantART’s galleries in a collaborative spirit between Gallery Directors and the community! As the project has grown you can choose to take part on this with more galleries and Gallery Directors and not only Artistic Nudes.

The purpose is to expose deviant’s artworks without the “just post thumbs” attitude - we feel this way the Featured works get the attention and respect they deserve!

And that’s why the AR (Artist Relations) Team exists: to bring Unity into the Community while sharing ART! This is your chance to have Gallery Directors support the sharing of your chosen artwork and thoughts about it. :heart: <
